Brake booster noise?

New here and starting questions…

Any idea of the best way replacing brake booster in F56 JCW ?

The booster works perfectly , although there is a squeezing noise when pressing the pedal !

Is there any other fix except replacing brake booster ?

Thank you in advance!

Hi skoukiadakis,

I don’t know of an easy way to replace the brake booster but I have seen an older thread about a similar issue on this forum.

Here’s the link, the user did mention bleeding the brake lines.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ake-pedal.html

Here’s another link to a different MINI forum and supposedly four other MINIs made the same sound.

https://www.minif56.com/threads/hiss...service.77858/

When I apply pressure to the brake pedal and the MINI is not running I can hear a sound from pressure building and can feel it in the pedal.

While driving and applying pressure to the brake pedal I don’t hear anything from inside the cabin and outside I can slightly hear the brake pads pressing against the rotors.

I hope the issue gets resolved,

Rich

Thank you for your response.
The problem solved.
Strange but the problem was not the brake booster.
It was the brake pump , the noise came inside the pump.
