Again with the unanswerable question. Some basic information about your MINI and are there other electrical anomalies going on would be of great help.
As a point of reference, I set the clock back in '08 and didn't have to adjust it 'till just a couple years ago when the battery was replaced and it is still solid right on.

It a 2016 Mini, New Battery, Maybe it has something to do with putting a battery tender charger on it once in a while.
I'll reset the clock and check 2 weeks later with no charger attached.

MINI is not the clock maker. If you have a bad one talk to your dealer

Yea, the clock issue was back in the 05-06' with the cluster, have not heard of issues with the F56. How much time is it losing ?

My 2016 F55 loses about five minutes every week... That is until I coded the car to set its time via GPS. Now the clock is always accurate. Like smartphone accurate.

Those who are losing time, do you have Connected XL? The reason I ask is that I've been told there is a bulletin out for a known issue where the clocks are losing time but it only calls out MINIs with the XL headunit. The March software coming out will supposedly fix it and there is a temporary workaround in place now.

I'll see if I can find the bulletin number

EDIT: It's SI M62 05 15. Might be worth asking a service advisor

Maybe it me, I've checked the clock a few times since I started this post, clock is on time, not sure why. Maybe it linked it's self to the moon ?

Thanks siriuszero! I have a 3 month old 2016 Justa with Connected XL and it looses about 4 minutes each week. I've been meaning to give the dealer a call, but haven't gotten around to it. Having this information will be helpful!

Get setup with ESYS first for coding - there are numerous threads here and on Bimmerfest to get you started.

Once you got your setup running, there are 3 parameters you have to change. Keep in mind, you need navigation for this to work:

Two in HU_NBT - set both to "aktiv":
CLOCK_CHANGE_AUTOMATIC
SETTINGS_TIME_AUTOMATIC

One in KOMBI - set to "aktiv":
GPS_UHR

Once coded, go into iDrive, go to Settings, Time/Date and you'll see the option to set automatic time on.

There is a bulletin out now for MINI cars WITH navigation but WITHOUT heads up display. There is an internal software error for the KOMBI that gets rectified. Make sure you tell your dealer to read the bulletin and make sure they are using ITSA/P 3.59 or higher. Older versions will not code out this issue.

I've got a slow clock too. Loses about 10 minutes per week. Do I need to have my car coded, or is there a software update for this now?

I had the software update applied to my 2016 (Nov 15 build date) about a month ago and the clock works as expected now.

Great! Going in next week for an oil change. I'll make sure to get this done.
