F55/F56/F57 Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for F55/F56 MINI Cooper AND Cooper S models.
I agree with comments above. I would prefer the output of my R56. The high heat felt great on my aching back. Now it is just warm. I'm sure the change was due to Mini worrying about someone suing. It is what drives almost all decisions now a days.
Ditto. My R56 got pretty hot, especially for the relatively mild climate where it lived (Texas and Arkansas). On the other hand, it soothed my back trouble on trips, and could easily be toned down by going to the lowest setting. My F56 is cooler, and as winter comes, I'll probably consider it too cool.
My skinny spouse has a different opinion, of course. He was never comfortable with the old bunwarmers, and said they were too hot.
Sure wish MINI had considered a middle-range compromise.
This is definitely a subjective situation, I find them uncomfortably hot and my wife is the opposite.
Second that. I find mine get pretty warm initially, then cool off. I usually put it on low and can barely feel it. My wife puts hers on high and leaves it there!
