Electronics help (wipers and heated seats)

Hi all. Original owner of a '16 Clubman S, 53K miles now. After almost 7 years, a couple of things have stopped working this winter, and so I could use your help.

1) The rain-sensor for the wipers seems way too sensitive. They barely ever go to "intermittent" now even with the thumbwheel all the way down. In the past, that feature has worked great.
2) The driver's side heated seat doesn't work. The lights will come on and I can choose the heat level, but then they switch off within 3-10 seconds. I can also hear a relay turning on and then back off. Passenger side still works fine.

Using a bluetooth dongle and the carscanner app (generic OBD app), I did find a code related to the seats but it didn't really point to anything specific.

Are there any good diagnostic routines for these or ways to reset?

Yes, you need the schwaben scan tool, it will pull the MINI specific codes.
