I think you can pull the cover off the new seats...and transfer the heating elements from the old seats...then re-install. I have not done it...but if the wireing is in the car already, and you have the heated seats already...I think it should be pretty simple as long as you can find a way to get the covers off, then back on.

edit....the bottom cushion should be easy...since there is no airbag...the back may need a trick...like sliding the element in from the bottom...not sure...but should be possible since I have seen the retrofit PDF someplace....

Crap...reread the question...I thought that maybe you were installing leather to replace fabric...it sounds like the elements in the current seat is broken...have you checked, maybe with a volt meter/ohm meter to see if the circurit is of infinate resistance...ie open, a failed heating element? I think this part might be kinda $$..check realoem....

I did it, and it was really easy, just cost money..

I had seat heaters installed by an auto upholstry place. It was a little under $350 a seat for me installed fused and wired.. I'm sure you can find a cheaper place, but the shop I went to does nice work.

Here is a link to a pic of the heater controls, the seats just look like regular seats.
