Electronic Parking mode
not sure if i am imagining things or not. but i was parking in a steep parking spot yesterday and when i put the car into park i noticed the electronic parking mode is on. i'm pretty sure i didn't engaged it. has anyone noticed it? i have the 2017 model

From the 2017 Clubman Owner Manual:
" Depending on the stopping situation, the park‐
ing brake is engaged automatically.
Steptronic transmission: in some parking situa‐
tions, the parking brake is automatically en‐
gaged, when selector lever position P is en‐
gaged. In these cases, the parking brake is
released automatically when you leave the se‐
lector lever position P.P
