Sounds like a nice DIY project that you could post plans of to NAM/Forum once you build it.
The only advice I can add is using a piece of 'sticky mat' on the bottom of the glovebox to help keep the lowest things you have stored in the glovebox sort of glued in place. Also known as Tool Box Drawer Liner or Kitchen Drawer Liner besides being called Sticky Mat... I've seen two styles, smooth foam style and the usual 'bead' style. Both seem to work well.

I used an old organizer I had for my 2003 R50 that had been modified to fit a 2012 Suzuki SX4 and it fits perfectly. There used to be a company years back that sold glovebox organizers made from plastic panel material with a nice felt covering. They made them for different car companies. Can't seem to locate that company now.
