MINI Portable GPS

Has anyone used the MINI 65902348018 GPS? Guess it's a Garmin NUVI 2497 which is listed as discontinued on their site. Just purchased a 2017 Clubman and need a GPS. Does MINI have a newer portable unit? Or just buy a Garmin? I looks like a MINI Click and Drive or a Craven Bracket will work with any new model Garmin. Anyone have an different option?

Go with the CravenSpeed mount and a portable GPS and you'll have the flexibility to swap it for a smartphone later.

I have the 2497 with the CS mount. Couldn't be happier.

MINI has also discontinued their GPS unit, which was just a Garmin nuvi with MINI on it. Any other Garmin unit should work fine or if you have a smartphone, Google Maps supports offline maps.

Garmin 2597LMT with a CS mount also.
Looks like it was meant to be there.
Garmin updates maps for free every 3 months or so.

65902348018 thats the older garmin for the Gen 2 MINI set up. But with a mount thats wide enough you could use it. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-opinions.html

On the Gen3 MINIs its the click and drive or the smartphone holder. That MINI was using ad well as some aftermarket phone mounts.
