2nd turbo failure in 6 months

Ok, so i have a problem with my 2012 mini cooper S. last year after i installed a forge bov, then 1 month later i hear a ping noise, suddenly the turbo stops working, stuttering acceleration, very slow, and no turbo spooling (because bov isn’t releasing air). I took the bov out, put the original back in, didn’t make any difference, bov is not the issue. Also sometimes there was white smoke. So after a lot of work I took the turbo out in the workshop, and it was coated with sticky oil in the manifold. Of course! Okay so the turbo definitely failed. I replace the entire turbo with a jcw turbo, also with a sports downpipe, primed with oil, and it works again. Haven’t got round to a stage 3 map yet, but it works great. Better even, because it used to rough idle and now it doesn’t. So after a a few weeks, again after driving it hard, the turbo fails. Thought this could be limp mode because of the larger size of the jcw turbo, but it’s not because after disconnecting the battery it still had issues. No codes or anything visible. I have no idea what’s going on, but this time i don’t suspect an oil leak because theres no white smoke. But my suspicion is that somethings causing these turbos to keep failing. Now i’m just hoping it’s not Turbo number 3 😅
