The same problem we Brits get when driving our RHD cars in the rest of Europe. Many years (OK - some decades) ago I came across a guy on the ferry between Britain and France who had the answer to solo driving on 'the wrong side'. He had an old-fashioned wing mirror (the ones that mounted on the car's front fender, not door) on the passenger side, but mounted backwards so instead of looking behind, he could look forward. The view wasn't great, but enough to see if it was safe to pull out to take a look.

Simple but clever idea. Oddly, I didn't see any RHD vehicles with UK registrations when I was in Amsterdam a few years ago.
I saw a 2005+ RHD about 8 months ago and I REALLY wish I would have turned and stopped him after he waved. Only thing I can think of was that he was military, but maybe he did purchase from the UK, I don't know. Either way, it was probably the coolest thing I had ever seen.

Not too long ago I saw a US Spec MINI here in the UK by RAF Mildenhall, a US Air Base here in the UK. It was Oxygen Blue/Black, looked cool in LHD with the arch reflectors!
