Which pulley did you get?

I got the Atla 15% -- version 1.0, I guess it would be called. Looks exactly as it did online.

This is it, right out of the box.

I've got two extra holes -- it's where you grab it for installation & removal. I've got my 4 allen-head screws already in place, and an included allen wrench.

Yours doesn't look like this?

Thankfully one of my friends just happened to have 2 in his workshop which is how many I needed.

Just a heads up for everyone. double check and make sure EVERYTHING needed is with the pulley.
Did you get the instruction book? The screws are in the package with them.

Abuzavi!!
Also, you will need the allen adapter (Available at autoCraftshop)for the allen bolts to torque down to the specified (inch pounds) by Alta for the bolts after you put few the drops of loctite on them.
The use of a proper 3/8” drive in-lbs torque wrench is necessary for this installation. DO NOT use ft-lbs

Tighten each M5 screw to 10 in-lbs (1.2NM). Continuing to tighten screws to 30 in-lbs(3.4NM), 60 in-lbs(6.8NM), and finally 80 in-lbs(9NM).
Recheck on all bolts after final torque sequence. Make sure to use Inch-Pounds or Newton Meters, not FOOT-POUNDS, or damage may occur to bolts and pulley if bolts are torqued improperly.

I believe that the autoshop should have the torque wrench as I do not have one. I actually hand tightened mine and have not had a single problem. However, if the shop has one, we will use it.

The auto craftshop do have the torque wrench, and the adapter for the Allen bolt and make sure it is in (INCHES) not foot pounds. Henry

I just checked the box to see if I have all of the required bits and pieces. Good to go! Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

BTW, I have the Alta V 2.0.

Hey Rudy, let's hold off on opening your box until we have your engine out of the car. Make a big surprise out of it!

Brad,

Literally, the pulley party would not have happened without you and Steve. Yeah, I might have had mine in time, maybe loesches, too, but RudyT and Smiley would have been standing there, twidling their thumbs, operating the jack, or super glueing their fingers together instead of adding more go-juice to their cars.

We are indebted. Much thanks.

Are for you yahoos, let me just say -- I didn't break anything on my car. My car is all R&D -- cutting edge technology going on there!

OK, enough chatting. Off to the Odenwald!

(Sweet weekend this is turning into. Best babysitting I've had in a loooooong time.)

Odenwald run was great, I just wish the weather could have been better...

Henry's pics are here...

http://www.simplymini.info/index.php.../Special:Files

Pulleys were all installed fine and the two small incidents were easily repariable (one broken ground strap point and one throttle sensor (I think) tube snapped off (Yea for super glue). All MINI's made teh run the next day so we can claim success.
