Yea, 6 and 4 is awesome! Daflake I think you need to make sure you have plenty of room in your Mini for beer! Everyone who is getting a pulley installed will definitely owe you one or two!

BTW, the JCW exhaust got installed this morning! It is awesome! No complaints. Sounds is just right, it looks awesome and added a bit to the butt dyno!

One more week to go!

I stopped by and met Henry today. He's going to join us on Saturday, just not at 0930. So, if all else fails, we'll have at least one set of tools (unless I take them out of the car and then leave them at home).

Oh, and he's got a nice ride.

We messed around with the navigation, rolling the software back to v26 and then v26, and could not get the 3D perspective to work. Not sure why, either.

He's got a nice trick with his remote -- he can lock it and then close all windows and the sunroof. Need to learn how he did that.

And his window tint is awesome. I need to look into doing the same.

We seriously need to learn that trick. I asked the dealer about having that programmed and was told since I had a US spec car, it wasn't possible to because or our laws. Its the health and saftey people trying to protect us from ourselves.

The two major tools are the detensioner and the puller. I can't see us using them all at once. So, no biggie. The auto shop has regular tools right? I still plan on bringing my box but it would be nice to have a few extras...

Perspective fix

Abuzavi!!
You should try this, I go in "set", move cursor on "screen" and here don't enter in screen menu but hold "menu" button about 10 secs...will appear another menu from which you can choose "perspective". Henry

Sweetness! It worked!

I also went ahead and added v28. I'll need to go and find a diagram of the fuse box, to try pulling the OBC and instrument cluster fuses as well. But it's Sunday, I've got kids climbing on me like I'm a tree house, and, well, it'll have to wait.

Much thanks.

Anyone still not added the Parcel Shelf yet? That'd be an easy one to knock out, outside of the bay, while we're putting pulleys on.

Part listing is in here. When I ordered mine locally (Peter Nick, in Weinheim), the parts took only a ocuple of days to come on.

I'm glad you got the perspective mode to work! I forgot about the hidden menu, because I did mine 1 year ago. Well I hope we can work out the Cameras Poi for Germany to see the speeding cameras locations. Specially when you are travelling to a different town and you realized you found a camera a little too late when that "BIG RED LIGHT FLASHED YOU"

REMOTE CONTROL WINDOWS UP!!

I got my remote controled windows up from Outmotoring.com for $50. and you need to splice 5 cables on your Mini. It is simple and took me 30 minutes. Henry

V 28

Hello Daflake!!
I went to your site looking for the V28 nav firmware couln't find it. Do you have it? Also I modified the 2007-1 DVD with the POI cameras and I only get a "Please wait a moment. . . and I wait forever. Using the 2007-1 without modification works fine? Any clue. . . Thanks Henry

Are you using Lupito's POI converter?

The V8 software is on the site main page down on the left.

daflake,

I've got a guest room you're welcome to. Wife will be out of town that weekend -- maybe we can tackle some of those racks of beer we're giving you.

loesches / Henry, you guys able to score some kitchen passes?

Thanks!
Go the V28 and installed. No noticiable changes on V28, but it is working perfect. For the POI I got the Lupitos POI, but when I put the DVD on the NAV and stay on the "PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT....." I check the files and I put all files in the correct place. Also I got another file from X5.com with the UK cameras just to try and It does the same. "PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT" and never changes. When I put the original back for few second says "PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT.... AND THE MAP Shows inmediately. Henry

I am good with getting a kitchen pass. The wife is off to Poland to buy some more pottery and I don't expect her to get back until late.

Kitchen Pass

Oh, for sure, RudyT. Probably an Alta Kitchen Pass, or at the very least, an M7 Kitchen Pass. Their V2 KP is awesome!

Man, I feel left out now. I just got a regular, run of the mill kitchen pass. I didn't know that M7 had one. Dang!

Maybe I will "upgrade" later!

Check Borla's website -- they might still be on sale. Not as good as the M7 ones, though.
