i am 2 hours away and was thinking something much earlier if possible. are there special times of when the ring is open for driving? if so, then i will have to try for a later date. thanks again

 

On the bottom right of this page is the schedule. The 'Ring doesn't open until 1745 today and runs until 1930. As I'm about an hour and a half away and the weather today looks great, this would be perfect. Lemme know the dealio.

Poppa Bear, no can do this week. I am picking up the new MINI on Tuesday and I am out of the office Wed thru Friday down to HoHo!

 

Don't know how many of you are still here, but I have been planning on going to the ring this spring, and that is fast approaching. And when is MITA09? I would love to do that, as that has been on my list since I bought the MINI in 2006.

Unfortunately, as the Merican crowd has thinned out lately and a lot of folks reintegrating after an OEF/OIF trip, there's not been too much activity around here. Originally, I'd planned on having MITA09 around the end of July, however, I've planned on going to MINI United 2009 instead with a MINI Oxford tour thrown in.

That doesn't mean that I'm not down for a 'Ring trip or Hockenheim, which I've not been on yet. So, give me a heads up (and the three hour drive from Nederlands!) and let's see what we can find.

PB, you suck. I am seriously jealous that you're going this year -- I am sure you remember the drama at the last Mini United, with my boss. Rrrrrrrr.

MITA, though -- that just needs to happen again. Seriously. That was too damn wild to not happen. Grab Scott and the kids and make it happen -- too cool of an adventure to not so. And, for the love of all things important, go when there's less snow!

 

We're heading back to MU this year as well. Already got event tickets, ferry reservations, a B&B lined up and factory tour passes. I think this MU is going to blow Zandvoort and Misano out of the water!
