Well, I am down in Vicenza for a month or so and I brought my MINI (like I would drive something else... )

Anyone here in the area want to meet up? I will have weekends free, so I'll be in the hotel and bored. Guess my MINI will get lots of pampering.

I could drive up to Aviano...... I've never been up that way and thing that it would be nice to see that area.

LOL, Met up with Ornery today and had a really good time. He took me for a spin up into the Dolomites Italian style Super nice guy and I hope that we can get together again before I leave out of here. Missed all you folks, you would really enjoy these twisties!

Looks like I'll be in Vicenza for the week or so after Thanksgiving -- and in Florence for the Marathon that Saturday. Am seriously thinking about driving down -- too many twisties to fly!

 

If you are in Vicenza, you should make a trip up to Asiago. Lots of good twisties!

Just a quick note about the World's Best Driving Road, according to those renowned experts, Top Gear, the Selvio Pass. I'm in Switzerland now and will post a complete trip report later. I was able to get to the pass yesterday and even got some postcards and happy snaps, however, there was TOO much SNOW to actually drive it!! Absolutely some of the craziest roads, to be sure, and definitely some technical roads, too. Details to follow.
