modifying the taillight circuit board...

I just bought a set of '06 taillights so I could use the reverse section of the taillight to house my strobe lights that are coming in tomorrow. I don't need the reverse section as my car is an '03 and has the reverse light down low.

So, this is my question. Can I cut the bottom of the circuit board off to expose an area so I can install the strobe bulb into the reverse light housing of the taillight, or do I have to keep the board in tact to complete the circuit....

Thanks guys!

If you do not cut through any traces on the board you should be ok. Just look for the raised parts that indicate where copper is present on both sides. Beware as the board may be multi layered. Of course, if you can find a way it would be preferable to leave the board intact and mount your light to the board with tape/glue/epoxy.
