I replaced both bulbs (brake and fog) with the same LED bulb, the tower one that someone allready posted. I have noticed that the fog light is brighter than the brake light, probally because the fog light housing is smaller and focuses it better. Well I have had the brake light mod for 2 years and the LED's for 1 and no major problems with either. The other week however the diode came loose on one side and I lost the fog light. So instead of just wedging it into the connector I soldered that sucker in so no more intermitent brake lights, also warrenty for BC1... poof, gone.

Also there are pictures in my gallery, but they dont really do it justice, its better to comapre in person then in pictures.
Isn't the diode necessary only if you want to also use the fog light controled by a switch? This would allow the fog light to be activated independent of the brake light. Since I really don't want to do that, I'd think the basic wire jumper would be OK.

If you do not activate the foglughts the basic jumper is fine.

I was thinking of picking up the complete toggle panel but that has gone on the back burner, $100 for a fog light switch that I would probally never use, I rarely use my front fogs as it is.

As a vendor who sell a Brake Light Kit, would you consider developing an LED Brake Light Kit? Maybe two Kits, one for just converting the brake lights to LED and another to convert both the Brake and fog lights to LED.Wouldn't think it would take a lot of research to insure the best LEDs are used and that they will fit the opening in the housing.
When I go to the various supplier of LEDs website, there are so many different bulbs available that its hard to make sure I get the correct stuff, is a resistor required, etc.
I would think it would be a good seller

Might be kind of expensive ,with four bulbs and the required profit. Could push it out to $100 -$130

I don't think that would be a problem. Especially for a 4 LED set-up with jumper diodes and resistor (if required). Remember I said a QUALITY LED, not cheap ones. Obviously, a two LED set-up would cost less. I think that the main benefit to NAM members and others, is a proven set-up that will work, packaged in kit form.... just my .02
