Where can I get a 3rd brake light assembly?

Hi all,

I've searched for the answer to this question here and online, and can't seem to find a manufacturer who sells the 3rd brake light assembly. Mine is out, and I have a state inspection in a week and would like to replace it myself.

Any 3rd party manufacturers out there, or do I need to order it through a dealer?

Thanks,

Dave

Post a WTB in the Marketplace. Lots of folks have replaced the rear taillights and 3rd brakelight with clear lens versions and may have theirs sitting on a shelf.

BTW - did you pull the assembly and check the connector on the back side, and also check the voltage going to the assembly (at the connector) when brakes are engaged?

No, I decided to replace the whole unit because the lens is cracked in a couple of places.

IrishCooper, thanks for the offer, but I had already ordered one from the dealer by the time you posted. But if that doesn't come through I'll PM you!

sure it came off my 06 MCS when it had 14 miles on it so i guess you could call that brand new. I replaced it with a OEM white 3rd brake light.
