LED Taillight Bulb Questions

I have a 2006 MCS

I have changed the taillight bulbs to superbright LED's

These LED infact: http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=41_72

I have tried to use a 6 ohm/50 watt resistor inline with the Blue/Yellow wires in the taillight harness, but that does not eliminate the fast blinking of the blinker module

I need to find out how to make my car think that my taillight are not burned out - I need some help

Will someone who has done this mod please inform me on what they did

I am not sure how much moire rapid blinking I can take :impatient

Thanks for all the help

Anthony

Look on the FAQ page of the led company web page they tell you how to fix the quick flash problem.

That connection does not sound right to me. The resistor needs to be in parallel, not inline with the bulb. Thus one side of the resistor should be on ground (should be a brown wire), and the other side of the resistor on the signal wire of the turn bulb. I can't verify the colors of the wires because I have a convertible and the taillight is a lot harder to access than on a hardtop. By the way, be careful where you position the resistor because it will get hot like a bulb.

Also I believe that electronic flashers will not work on MINI. To my knowledge, MINI performs turn signal blinking through software in the computer rather than a plug-in flasher module. There is no flasher module that you can replace with an electronic version.
