I have an '04 MC with the standard incandescent bulb in the lowest position and an 'orphan' bulb inactive in the top position which I activated by doing the ubiqutitous 'brakelight mod' with a jumper. This top incandescent bulb thus works in tandem with the lower one, but I did replace the upper ones with LED's to lessen greatly the extra curent load...the LED's work fine, and illuminate a fraction of a second before the incandescents ones
