Mikey's Bluetooth Phone I/F - audio quality?
I have the newministuff.com BT phone/MFSW kit. With the first kit that Mike sent me, the transmit audio would cut in-and-out. I tried moving the microphone from the headliner edge - between the mirror and visor, to the corner of the headiner/A-pillar, to the A-piilar door weatherstrip area next to the driver's door window. This last location was at Mike's suggestion. I could never get the transmit audio to sound decent, so Mike sent me another Parrot Evo and microphone.
I installed the new kit today. The transmit audio with the new kit doesn't sound bad when the car is stationary, but while underway - especially at highway speed, my transmit audio sounds like a computer generated voice. I paired two different phones to the Evo kit (a Blackberry 7250 and a Moto V710) and the results are similar.
If you have one of these kits, where did you mount the microphone and on a scale of 1-10 (10 being 'handset' quality) how does the transmit audio sound to people that you're talking to?
The reason I ask, is that I have a Bluetooth headset and had the factory Bluetooth setup in an Acura, both used with this very same phone, and the audio quality is very good - and the Parrot setup is not (yet, anyway).

I have a 2006 with the same set-up and simular problems. I have the Parrot microphone located in the Mini factory location (next to sun roof switch on driver's side) with the head of the microphone extending unobstructed into drivers area (less than 18" from driver). Parrot was unalbe to determine any solutions other than to replace the microphone and control module, which they are sending repacements. I would be interested in any solutions because the Parrot 3000 Evo Bluetooth kit is not usable.
I still haven't sorted this out, yet. I may try another type of phone, but if I'm unsuccessful with that, Mike has offered me a refund.
Parrot USA also sent me another controller and mic, neither of which made a difference. I'm thinking that this kit may work better in a vehicle where the passenger compartment is quieter than the MINI; not sure.

Then I tried a SuperTooth II which works pretty well around town, but as soon as you hit highway speeds it's useless. Now I've succumb to a blue-tooth headset when I'm traveling on the highway.... So, if any of you find a great solution I would be very interested.
We have the same problem with our 700. We just got a MCSc though and I am installing the permanent docking kit and an external mic. I will let you know how it turns out.
