for those who feel nervous that in maybe rare circumstances the extra current draw from the 2 extra taillight bulbs could blow the BC1 module and then have to deal with the dealer, just replace the 2 regular stock incandescent orphan bulbs with an pair of LED bulbs....very easy to do and not too expensive.....see posts #8 thru #12 above for sources
one of the very first things I did back in Aug of 02. 77,700 miles later .........NO probs with this mod. my .02 worth...No module, just a short piece of wire used to bridge 2 terminals on each side.
Me too. I did it in November 2002 on my September 2003 build 03 MCS. Absolutely NO problems either.
