will the oem xenon lights bolt up?

I have a 2006 MCS without the xenon headlights. I was wondering if i could simply buy the OEM xenon units and blot them up? Is it plug and play? Or do i have to mess with a lot of wiring? THanks
RYan

Look into the cost of parts first. The bulbs alone may change your mind. If you do assemble all the parts, you may need to have the control modules programmed.

Like 002 said, the cost may be very high... Other than that, I do not see why the xenons wouldnt work.

Seems like I recall there being a retrofit kit for it, but I'm not sure. Like the others have said, they're very, very expensive.

To do it legally, you can retrofit them, but you also will be install new wiring for them and need to connect washers and autoleveling devices and you end up removing everything within that chrome surround. Or you could do what I did swap in some silverstars and get just as much light at a slightly whiter less blue color for $80 (4 H7 bulbs (2high 2low)carried by autozone and walmart) total and 15-30 min of self install vs ~400 per headlamp minus labor after the car leaves the factory. I'll post a link to my how to if you'd like.

You CANNOT DO IT without a major wiring change.

I looked into it on my old 05. A large part of the wiring harness had to be changed out.

If you still want the Xenon look with a bit more light then the halogens you could go HID. Using an HID retrofit kit. Its not 100% legal and the light isn't as good as true Xenons but it can be had for about $300 and is a easy DIY.
I did this on my Cooper when I wanted the xenon look without the xenon price. They are now my high beams on my new 05
