power tap for gauge lighting (Dimable)

I tapped a grey wire for lighting for my gauges. I used a version that taps power by breaking the outer casing for this wire that is part of the main wire harness. I want to see if I can get the same dimable lighting using one of the fuses in the fuse box. I just tapped switched power for my driving lights using one of the instrument fuses. The one I tapped was constant. There are other fused dedicated to instruments. Does anyone know if one of the fuses can be used that can dim with the rest of the instrument gauges?

Thanks,
ARLY

remove your fusebox panel and the entire inner rocker panel cover on the drivers side.

on that main large harness, there is a grey/red striped wire, that is for the gauge lighing, and it dims with the lights. tap straight off of that.
