My father has a passport 8500 radar detector in his turbo porsche and he loves it. The only problem is that it costs a minimum of 1000 dollars to tear off the dash and hook it up to the closest power in the instrument cluster. I was just wondering if anyone had tried to install one of these in their MINI yet or know of a power source that could be used to hook up to the Radar Detector.
