So l've always disliked my white tachometer/speedo in my R60 and have been jealous of the dark grey colors. Well, a few days ago I saw a grey tachometer for sale on EBay for about a 1/4 of the normal price, so l jumped on it! The install is fairly normal for a German/British car with a French engine, and only took about 40 minutes (20 of that was trying to access the plug that the tach is connected to).
When I turned on the car I immediately noticed a few things:
-The amber gear icon for an automatic transmission is lit up (I have a 6mt)
-The asterisk after the odometer
-The triangular message notification telling me u have messages.

When looking up the messages, none of the standard codes pop up like the CC-ID###, just the icons for the gear, lights, and clock.

So my question is, is there a way to properly sync this new tach to MY car, or am I going to have to reinstall my old tach and list this good looking one back on eBay?
