Electrical Paddles on a 07 convertible S
Paddles on a 07 convertible S
I posted this on an old thread and got no response..
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a 2007 R52 Mini Cooper Convertible...
I find the Paddle shift to be in my way of comfortable holding of the wheel.
I went and removed them and now my radio/cruise buttons have stopped working...
I am going from memory of what was disconnected and I want to believe the Green connector that I removed was probably a ground that completes the circuit for these controls.
Has anyone had experience with this? Can I just jump the green wires to bring back the Radio controls?
Ten other things have gotten in the way of me pulling the airbag back off and looking into it... Maybe I will go look at it now.
Thanks
Brian

OK I honked the horn a bunch and removed the air bag (did not disconnect just moved it out of way) and I looked over the wiring. it is not a ground so what I did was removed the actual paddles and then reinstalled the switch units, they are not what was in the way anyhow.
The world is right again.
If anyone actually reads this and wants more info on it I can do some pics and show the end result.
