Driving light install

I'm installing led driving lights, using a relay and switch to enable them. Iwould like to only have them turn on when the high beams are on, the car has hid lights and the relay is located in the abs area.

Anyone know what wire the hid uses when on? I can use that to trigger the relay

OEM install taps in to the wire by the BCM/BC1 (passenger footwell.)
29. Connect wire to the yellow/green wire going to X322 pin 15 of BC1
It's a pain to get to, and there's not much room, but easy enough to identify.

I saw that, long way from my relay, I would prefer to avoid that

Yeah, it's a wire run across the dash, but that's what the Germans recommend.

If wiring must be tapped in the engine bay, use a test light to determine which circuit has power while the high beams are on, and no power whilst off.

Doing it the correct way (as Eric_Rowland has mentioned) is always an option, however.
