Unplugging door speakers?

I'm trying to install the Bavsound stage 1 speakers and I can't figure out how to unplug the blue connector from the stock speakers. Anyone have some insight on how to do this or am I just not pulling hard enough?

From memory, which is shaky at best. You push the connector to the side and pull. One of the sides has a slightly springy part that compresses. I'm remembering 3rd gen clip, not sure if it is the same on 2nd gen.

Hmm, it doesn't seem like that's working for me. There a little tab that's locking the connector into the speaker, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it out of the way. Even pushing on it with a screwdriver it doesn't seem to want to move.

Update: got them off, I had to take pliers and gently pry them against the back of the speaker and they came right off. seems like it needed just a little bit more than what my hands could do.
