LED replacement bulb issue

I had a tail light bulb go out on my daughters 2010 cooper cabrio. I decided to just go ahead and replace all the common exterior bulbs with LED's for better and longer lasting lighting. I went to Autozone and purchased the SYLVANIA ZEVO's as they were cross referenced for the LED replacements part. The lighting is great but the instrument panel still shows the bulb out indicator and when I use the turn signal it starts out with the rapid signla and then goes to normal speed.

Anybody else experience this and is there a solution?

Thanks!

Tom

You need Canbus compatible LED's or resistors to fix that. Other alternative is to code the car to not check the bulb. Known as warm & cold checking. You can read about "coding" in several different threads. Just make sure you are looking at 2nd generation info.
