Carly app
I am looking at purchasing the Carly app and adapter but need a little information. My cooper is currently programmed to do the following:
1) One touch sunroof. Press switch once to crack open, press again to completely open. Same happens in reverse, press once to go from completely open to cracked, then again to completely close.
2) With comfort access installed: When key is turned off, unlock all doors. When button on outside of door handle is pressed once, all doors unlock.
I need to know if carly can program these features since I can not seem to find them their website.
I would also be using it to register a new battery.
Thanks.

The bimmercode app with the required adaptor is much less expensive and has the capability to do more. I had the Carly app and could never get it to work right for me. Amazon refunded the $75 for the adaptor, but I had to eat the cost of the app. Bimmercode app + adaptor is cheaper that the Carly adaptor alone. Not saying you should buy one over the other, but wanted you to know there was another app option. This is the adaptor I bought that works with iPhone/iPad. YMMV

I did the original programming with the actual BMW software and an ODBII dongle, still have all that, severe pain in the rear to use. This is why I am looking at the Carly solution as I heard it was very easy to use. I am getting too old and impatient to do it the PITA way.
The Bimmercode looks good, but does not mention the R60 so is pretty much useless to me.

Understood. I've had a Windows based laptop and cable sitting on my desk for 8 months now that I bought just for coding. All my stuff is Apple. Never bothered getting into it because it seemed too much hassle for me. Old and impatient here too.
The bimmercode app is like the Carly in that it takes all the most common changes and give them to you as shortcuts that you can just toggle on and off. If you want to get into it more, you can go into "Expert Mode" for no additional cost. I have used both modes with good success. You can download the app for free and check it out in the demo mode. Then, if you like what you see, you can unlock the coding function for $24.95 IIRC.
