Just did the retrofit of the additional LED lighting that comes with the MINI Yours interior packages, as long as your car has the Lights Package option 563 and the MINI Excitement Pacakge option 4V9 this retrofit is possible as the wiring for the additional LEDs are already there. I believe all F56's up to MY2016 have the wiring already there.
I'll be happy to post the part numbers and what is required later, but it requires drilling out the old plastic rivets which hold the old trim to the door. So not for the faint hearted!

however I'm wondering how did you find the LED itself because I checked REALOEM and looks like I have to get the right trim
No, you are correct you do need to buy the whole trim that includes the LED light guides. The old trim is not reused. The LED's are a separate module also.
PNP for cars that have Lights Package 563 and MINI Excitement Package 4V9, as stated in the first post I think all f56 sold in the NA had those two options between MY2014-2016

for the F56 you will need a qty of 4
for the F55 you will need a qty of 6
also you will need the securing washers to attach the new trim pieces to the door card unless you want to epoxy them back on. I only have the quantity required for the f56 which is a total of 50 pcs.
