Will tapping rear cargo light power for LED strips confuse the Canbus?

(I have zero experience with LED lights/bulbs/strips)

I have read here that replacing bulbs in the vehicle with certain LED bulbs can confuse the Canbus (and possibly do damage?)

So I'm wondering if the same danger is there if I leave the cargo light bulb as stock and just tap its power line for a couple of LED strips? It's not for colors or strobe - just for extra light in the boot.

Or is there possibly a gadget that I can put inline between the cargo light and the LED strips that would prevent an error on the Canbus?

Thanks for any advice.
