What gauges do you prefer?

New here and I was just curious what people are running for gauges?

Pod? Monitor?

Thanks

I always prefer a good old analog gauge. Just like the look and I think they are quicker to read over a digital monitor. You can just glance at it and see the needle and know pretty much what you're at.

I like Autometer, but Marshall makes some factory match gauges for the MINI. I have never tried Marshall so I don't know how good they are. I have Autometer Ultra-lites in all 4 of my cars.

I have only ever used the Marshall liquid filled for a return fuel system I built a couple years back. I have used Autometer and Issipro a bunch was just curious what the preference was. Thanks for the input.

You're welcome. I helped a friend install some Isspro gauges in his Dodge, they really didn't impress me. Lots of light bleed out of the case, boost gauge used a different bulb from the EGT and trans gauges so it never looked the same at night, and the trans temp gauge always had issues and never read right. So I always recommend Autometer over them...

I have the Craven mounting pods with Marshall gauges, water temp and boost. There's a thread in the How To forum with detailed installation guides. For quality and aesthetics the Craven stuff can't be beat.

Craven also has OBD2 connected gauges which are an analog display but get the data from the OBD2 connector instead of from sensors wired from the engine, which makes installation a lot easier.

If you want cheap with lots of flexibility, get an OBD2 to bluetooth converter (under $20) plus the Torque app for your Android phone ($5.) Lots of threads about it.
