Electrical Barn door defroster
While we wait for this thread to get moved. I would say pop the door panel off and check continuity through the defrost strip. Once you confirm it is not broken somewhere then test voltage at the location where it gets power (base of defroster). Compare that value to the other side. If you get no power, then follow the wire upstream, where it could wear or get broken (door hinge boot). And keep going until you find the place where something changes (another connection, or you see voltage).
+1 , I would check the connection at the door and the tab at the window element. Possible when the door was shut hard the electrical connector came off the tab behind the trim.
