Yeah, HID power requirements need different wiring harness, and that is not even talking about the auto adjust and water jet controls. My sale manager told me flat out :"it's impossible " while I understood impossible comes in different shades of gray it tells me that it is very difficult if done according to MINI original installation

I have a friend who works at a euro shop specializing in late model BMW/Mini, VW/Audi, Benz, Porsche etc. and they have software able to read, write, and retrofit on all BMW and Mini models including the LCI Mini. If I assume that he can enable factory Xenons in my car's computer, will I just be able to plug the new (second hand) lamps in and go? Is any of the wiring different without the headlight washers?

Dynam51killuons did my projectors with stock halogen housing. HID kit and all installed by my friend who's a genius when it comes to setting up anything with wires. Everything has been working great for 5 months now.

So I saw the reference to the retrofit source. But has anyone used xenon supply? I'm interested in doing a xenon upgrade but not sure what the best/ most reliable option is without getting all oem parts and forking over that much or have they come out with a less expensive option at mini? Thanks for the help on this

Ive retrofitted the xenons onto my Countryman, which has the same electronics has a LCI r56. To retrofit them to work isnt that hard. BUt I dont have the leveling sensors working (one day). OR the washers.

Honestly Ive driven in a car with the levelers and in mine, I dont notice a huge difference.

I have a thread about my process in the countryman electric section.
