NCS Expert help

Car: 05 R52 MCS JCW

What I want to do is basically add the OBC functionality to the car... trip, mileage, instant MPG, average MPG, and so on.

I've followed the various guides here, and so far, I'm in. I can read the car status, I can read the VIN, read modules, etc.

When I choose read module (KMB), it copies the TRC file as normal.

I open it in notepad, then change this code to active.

BC
aktiv = enable onboard computer

And then I save the file as .MAN (same name, different extension, just like the instructions) and then close it and click execute.

But it's not taking effect. I hear no clicks of reprogramming, etc.

I have no clue what I'm not doing here... any help would be appreciated.

Got it! I fixed the problem.

Turns out that the instructions in that "Mini Cooper Coding.rar" didn't mention changing the job to "SG_CODIEREN" and then hit "execute." That was why I wasn't able to program it.

Funnily enough, I found the instructions here:

Very helpful.
