Transmission Backup Wire Connector

Hello,

I did a manual swap from a 5 speed to a 6 speed and the backup connector and the switch does not fit together.

I am wondering if anyone know where I can get a Mini Cooper S manual transmission back up wire connector to attach to the switch on the transmission?

I only need the connector at the end of the wire.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Did you try ordering it thru your MINI dealer?

I think it's #9 in this diagram: p.n. 12527511315
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...17&hg=23&fg=15
If not through MINI, then try PelicanParts ($1 + shipping),
miniofsouthatlanta, etc.

I went to the dealer and they couldnt find a connector plug part number and they were unsure if this was the correct plug #12527511315. So I ordered it and thought that was a good deal. So I went to pick it up the next day and turned out it was not the plug. It was the "plug connection female" part to assembly into the plug connector.

So the dealer gave me a list of part numbers that needed to be assembly together. Which is below the part numbers to build the plug connector:
#12527511315 - QTY 2
#12527511334 - QTY 2
#12527511347 - QTY 1 and
#12527511349 - QTY 1

Total came to $31.06 CDN for all of the parts.

So I ended up putting it together.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry, I should have noticed that all 4 of those parts with the correct quantities
are listed as "#9" on the realoem link I posted (last 4 items in the table).
At least they were not too expensive (total at pelicanparts was $12.25+ shipping).
