HIDS FOR NEWB..Qs..

Hi guys I have just gotten a 2009 mini cooper,6spd,stock.
We also have a 2006 mini cooper, auto, stock, I am new to the mini scene and don't know too much about them as far as upgrades and aftermarket vendor company's and stuff ..
So my question is where can I get some hid low beams and fogs, white, any one have links ?
Advice as far as install? Is it basic plug and play ?
Thanks in advance ..
And I am looking to get HIDs for the 09 only

If you are looking for a plug n play HID kit, you should check out DDM Tuning. I know a lot of people on this forum are against aftermarket HIDs, but if you stick to 4500k for the Hi/Lo, you shouldn't have to worry about any unwanted police attention. Also, make sure you adjust the bulb placement to ensure the cut off is indeed a nice sharp cutoff, this will ensure no glare to oncoming drivers...and help keep the cops off as well.

Goodluck!

Thanks for the heads up, I really am not a fan of HIDs either..
But since I moved to Germany where every road has no street lights and it's really country where I live I need them because there are a ton of ferrets and foxes and cats and deer that love to poP out on these dark roads .
