Does anyone know if any of the Philips Diamond Vison bulbs will fit on the R56? If so what size? If not what are some comparable models that will look or put out about the same brightness? I have the regular stock halogens now..... Any help is much appreciated!
The Diamond bulbs don't look any larger than their standard halogen counterparts so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't fit. What bulbs are you looking to replace? Here's a list of bulb sizes for most of the bulbs on a 2011 R56.
Exterior
High/low beam (one bulb does both): H13 (9008)
Parking light (small bulb above fog light): 194
Front turn signal: 7505
Rear turn signal: 7505
Side scuttle signal: 194 (amber bulb)
Rear brake (2 bulbs per housing, 4 bulbs total): 7505
Fog lights: H8
Reverse: 921
Rear Fog: 921
License plate: 6418
Side markers (light behind fender reflectors): 194
Interior
Footwell: 194
Door courtesy lights: 194
All dome lights (5 total): 194
Glovebox: 194
Boot light: 194
Vanity mirrors use a special bulb that I haven't seen before.
If you see anything missing, just ask, I probably know the size.
What's the difference between 7505 and 7506 for the rear brake light bulbs? Sylvania calls for 7506 and that's what I have in one of the brake light positions.
FYI you can buy 10 OSRAM 7506 bulbs for the rear brake light (4 total) for $10 delivered on amazon. Even the long life bulbs burn out on me pretty fast. Too much heat I suppose. $1 per blub is as cheap as it gets.
