Easy auto dim mirror replacement

Hello. Noob here. I just got a MCS with no options. I decided to get a home link mirror off eBay since the dealer installed is roughly $800. I had a connector wire left over from my BMW and it fit perfectly. Part number 61.13.0.005.197

So here is what I did.

Take apart the plastic housing on the mirror base.
Twist the mirror off and remove the wire plug.
Remove the overhead panel by prying off the cover then removing the two screws that hold it. Remove all wire plugs.
On the car's mirror harness pull open the tab that holds the terminals in place, and insert the pre terminated wire lead into the #3 hole.

Close the tab.

Run the wire to the overhead. Insole harness and tap into the purple wire.

Put everything back together in the reverse order.

Mirror works perfectly.

Took me 20 min because I had never done it before.
