Electrical any way have driving lights with low beam?

Not only does he find this funny, one minute he challenges me to find incidents when high beams or driving lights caused an accident because it never happens. Not 10 minutes later, he posts an article about how precedent in court cases in such accidents has been set.
Guess he wanted to save me the time in researching.

No, you are a joke.
Does anyone know how to do the MOD?
Ps- liked Eric's answer very logical. Again though if you drive a lot hitting that button on the knee bolster can be as quickly done as hitting high beam. For an attentive driver. Which I will assume the 95% in the forum are. To CR's point we should restrict the 95% because of the 5% that are selfish.
Do CR or Eric ever go above speed limit? If so you ever hear "Speed Kills"? Never heard " Bright Lights Kill".

That sentiment is quite mutual, I assure you! And your opinion of me has shattered my life!
So... explain to me his court precedence in light-blinding accidents *is* proof they never happen. Because you never heard of them?
And in your latest gem, you'really telling us it takes no more time to flip a switch by your left knee than it takes to flip the stalk a couple inches from your wheel? Just where is your left hand when you drive?

Incorrect. The only difference is how the relay is wired. In the OEM instructions, the relay is powered by the high beam wiring. To power them independently, you'd need only to power the relay by the parking light wiring.
The reason they are triggered by the high beams is that the stalk is close and easily actuated. If the lights are independent, you must move your hands from the steering wheel to wherever the switch is. For OEM, that's in the knee bolster, which can't be quickly turned off. Worst case is if you've got the high beams on, then you have to turn off both the high beams AND your independently wired driving lights. Nice for you, not so much for other drivers.

Hmm interesting topic....
I can see the need for additional lighting at times, and yes sometimes the high beams are too high... but rather than use the driving lights, buy some new lights with the right beam pattern to accomplish what you want. Pointing the driving lights 20 feet in front of the car defeats the purpose of the driving lights and as stated before, risks blinding on coming cars.
Get some lights with the right beam pattern, wire them on their own switch... Its not that hard -

Yup....that is the typical "ralley light setup"...get a bar....and mount the lights you need with the right beam pattern....
Kinda funny how this thread has a life of its own....even thouth the op's answer was posted about 4 times (i think)....and folks are still asking how....
Amazing that folks do not undersand the basics of a relay....bet thses are the same folks that burn up a full mini wiring harness without using a relay for the switch....

To answer the original question, it would be a trivial mod (a 1 inch wire jumper) from what I see in the wiring diagram: http://motoringfile.com/howto/Driving_Lights_902.pdf
But I wouldn't do it. Driving lights are essentially an extra set of hi-beams.

I suppose none of you saints have ever driven with your high beams on when they were not required or appreciated . . . . .
let the one without sin cast the first stone . . . .
for my penny - remove all the xexon lights, they blind me even on low beam
OHHHH NOOOOO that's different ....
and let's not even ASK when anyone with driving lights checked their aim . . . you assume the dealer did after they were installed on the dock? I've got a bridge to sell ya' .... most sets I've seen didn't even have all the parts in the kit installed! (I've installed a number of the factory kits AND aftermarkets too, for folks willing to pay my huge price of 'lunch') Nor should we dabble into the many posts of folks that want rear fogs so they can blind someone they feel is too close behind..... THOSE enthusiasts get replies of YES, WHERE CAN I GET MINE . . . .
