Trailer Wiring Fail

This is an 06 R52 with the Mini-do-more wiring kit. My exhaust melted the wires going from the plug to my trailer lights. After replacing the melted wires, I still had issues (unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what, but I think it might have been no turn signals or brake lights, only tail lights). I have finally replaced the wiring kit with a new one from Mini-do-more, and I still have no turn signals or brake lights, only tail lights. The car lights are functioning normally, it is just a trailer light problem (trailer lights work fine with my wife's car). I know there may be some bad connection somewhere in the trailer wiring set-up, but I'm wondering if there may be some OTHER problem I'm not thinking of. Any suggestions?

try to check this thread:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...er-wiring.html maybe you might get some answers regarding trailer wiring problems...
for my replacement, I purchased one here: http://www.jcwhitney.com/trailer-wiring/c2466j1s17.jcwx its important not to do anything that could mess up the electronics, so I consulted it to a mechanic friend.
