INPA Cable

Hello guys,
I'm trying to do a coding on my new R60 MY 2012.
I'm having a trouble with the connection between Laptop and car using the INPA cable (just bought) displayed in the picture above attached.
The INPA software looks like to be ok (it recognizes battery and ignition on) but it is not be able to read any Control Unit).
I noted that on the side of the connector, the pin 8 is present and it is electrically connected with the pin 7 (even if on the back side is not soldered with pin 7). I'm wondering if should I remove pin 8 or to do other mods.
Have you got any suggestion?

Thanks a lot,
Silvio.

What was the error message that you are getting?

Few things you could do...

Clean your .man file on your work folder.
Update the daten files

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Running INPA, the software recognizes the battery and ignition as ok, but when prompted to connect the chassis R56 (Shift + F5) I see few activity on the cable LED (green) but nothing to do .
Launching NCSExpert same speech, it does not recognize CAS and FRM modules and more I don't see any activity on the interface (the cable LED is always off).

This is the error message:
Fahrgestellnummer Fehberhaft
COAPI-2020: SG antwortet nicht
IHF-0009: NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROL UNIT

I read on other thread that such problem could be due to the 8-pin cable because if I understood well it should be the RJ interface enabler. Then I remove the pin 8, but despite this nothing good result came out.

I also checked the file OBD.ini (\ Ediabas \ Bin); it is correct for the port (Com1) used by USB2SERIAL , and I copied it into the dir \ windows and \ windows \ system32.

The OBD connector light will be on for first 30 seconds and blinks only when you read or write.

Did you update your daten files properly? INPA works and don't need anything else other than edibas.

either the cable is faulty or missing daten files...

I hope so... I followed the procedure described in https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r60-guide.html.
I updated NCSExpert with daten V45.
NCSExpert recognizes the R56 frame, than I suppose that datens should be good. (... but i don't have any previously experiences ...)
Anyway, could I'ask you which version of INPA > NCSExpert are surely working good for MCS CM MY2012?
