Heated seats module/wiring

I'm adding OEM heated seats to my Car.

Does anyone happen to have a photo of the bottom of their seat that shows the OEM 8 pin connector and heated seat module?

There isn't an 8 pin under my seat, but might be one tucked under the carpet. (I've not dug in to it yet) I looked on the WDS site, but when I clicked on the connector x013709, it went to a 404 error.

Ideally, I'd like to make sure I have ALL the parts ready for when I tear into the car. Dealers don't do this on a regular basis, so Parts guy at the dealer isn't sure what all I *need* and doesn't want me to end up with a bunch of spare parts.

Ac panel/circuits are in route, modules, heat pads are in route. Still working on programming options, but it's being considered.

Thanks! Looks pretty straight forward. I received the modules today, I'll yank a seat and look around for a connector. However, I suspect I'll be buying a harness. I'm planning on taking lots of photos when the time comes to install this stuff.

If someone had a photo that caught the view when installing an amp or something. I'd still feel more warm and fuzzy if I could *see* what I'm getting into, but I'll figure it out either way.

you can buy the connectors and the pins.the harness is very expensive.so buy the connectors and use your cables.check the part numbers here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...g=25&lang=enUS

I ordered #3 on this page: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...g=10&lang=enUS

I might order the connector/pins if that doesn't work out or it's not already under my seat. Honestly, it'd have been quicker to yank the seat out than speculate on the WWW... I need to step away from the computer!

Connectors and pins are cheap, so is the harness bit at $22. I'm into the heated seats about $600 for OEM retrofit. $5.00 for pins/connectors or $22.00 really isn't of concern at this point. I prefer to not have to buy the correct color wires to keep wiring simplified for future diagnostics. (by myself or a Mini Technician)

Cheap would have been a $150 ebay 'universal' kit, which I have to admit would have been a very decent solution as seen on the DIY page. But I've also seen dealers send a car down the road and refuse to work on them due to professional, but non-standard wiring practices.

Now, if I could only find a source for the cloth type electrical tape found in all the German cars...

Thanks! Sent the parts guy an email. It's probably an odd request.

Cloth friction or anti-friction tape is the proper term for it. 3m seems to be the best (as per norm).

OEM Heated seats are retrofitted and work. I'll do a complete write-up for the DIY section with prerequisites, problems and pitfalls that I encountered with the process.

Heated Seat fuse location - power

Brad - I see you wired heater seats up in your mini. I have a question. Prior to the install were the fuse holders (passenger compartment) labeled "heated seats" empty ie no fuse in them. . What did you have to do to the fuse box to get power to the seats. I do not have heated seats but want to use the heated seat fuse location as a power source for fog lights on my car. I am figuring using this as a source , that power would be off when the ignition is off, thereby , I would not have to turn my fogs off every time I turned the ignition off. Basic question , is there power to the heate seat fuse location from the factory.

Thnks

Yes, I had fuses there and yes they were on. There was some programming I had to do to enable the PWM signal, but the 30amp(?) fuse was engaged when the power was on.
