Coding ideas

Hi All,

I have been doing some research on the NCS Expert coding thing and have a few things I'd like to do. Does anyone know if the following can be done?

Wing mirror tilt down on reverse.
Mirrors fold in/out on lock / unlock.
Cruise control increment change?
Daytime running lamps only with the sidelights (parking / city lamps) instead of those + headlamps.

I don't think you can do any of those with the R56/60 platform. The mirror module is not connected to the regular car bus like other BMW models.

Cruise control is not changeable.

And the DRL could be possible, but I don't think so. I spent a number of hours changing settings in the FRM trying to do just what you describe without success.

Strobey is correct. The mirrors only do what you are asking for if you have the mirrors from the factory with the hardware in them and they would be programmed to do that anyway. The standard mirrors don't have any connection to the ECU, just power to manipulate the motor, and they don't have a motor in them to facilitate the folding unless you have that package.

Strobey may understand, but I don't, what is Cruise Control Increment Change?

DRL changes are difficult, but GTECKO may be able to help on that one.
