aftermarket headlight quality

So, i've been thinking lately that I hate my factory '03 xenons.
They are very dirty and i can't get them to polish up at all, lightout put sucks also.

I would love to have some factory facelift projectors, but they are so expensive.

I know the aftermarket projectors on ebay are teh suck and don't out put very much light, but i'm wondering how good the actual housings are for a proper hid retrofit.

get some say FX-R projectors ( http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=101 )
and mod them into it, instead of cutting up expensive factory headlights.

opinions?

If doing a retro use the projectors with the nut on the rear (Morimoto brand) I used them on my 2009 to retrofit the HIDs and it was much easier than when I did FX projectors in my Ford Ranger a few years back.

The quality is actually not as bad as I was expecting for the price. They are nicely built.
