HID Lights

Hello,

I just got a new 06 Mini Cooper Hatchnack (Base) and I would like to know what would be better. If i should buy the HID kit for my headlights (dont know if this will affect incoming traffic) or buy aftermartket projector headlights and add the HID?

Neither one will have a sharp enough cut off providing the proper dispersion of the light and you will just end up blinding oncoming traffic.....also not good since drunk drivers have a huge tendency to move towards bright lights like a moth to a flame...........Happens quite frequently to LE officers while performing traffic stops. They are either side swiped or slammed into.

Additionally, the reflectors of standard headlights are computer designed and are specific to certain a wattage bulb as well. Wattage in excess of OEM negates any benefits wanted - the light again is not as sharp and more like a really bright flood light.....less depth to the beam.

thank you, I will stay with stock headlights. I was affraid to change the headlights and have issues with other cars or the law or electrical issues with the car.

thank you

Changing the bulbs to something like Silver-star Ultra's may help a bit. Legal, easy to do & won't adversely effect your MINIs wiring.
