Driving Lights electrical problem HELP!!!

Hello Im new to the forums, and today i installed OEM Driving lights on a 2009 mini cooper without Xenons. All is well but the only time i can see them light up is when i put on the hazard lights the only wire i can think of is gray/red wires for a11 and pin 48. i have triple checked the connections and it is the only wire i can find that has no effect on my driving lights coming on when the hazard lights are on. Does anyone know what a11,a12, a1 do? I would appreciate any help i can get.

Probably need more details, can't quite follow what you are doing from your post. What are the a11, pin 48 etc?. Are they in the footwell module or one of the fuse boxes?

What are you using for an on off switch?
If you are doing OEM like you say then you probably need a trip to the dealer for reprogramming.

If it were me I would wire the lights independent of the computer system. Wire from battery w/ fuse, or other 12 V source at the fuse box to a relay and dash switch of some sort.
You can get relays, fuses and switches at an auto-parts store or Radio Shack.
