2010 Driving Light Install

Hi All-
I installed the factory oem driving light kit today in my '10 cooper today. Install was a pretty easy except trying to get the wire through the fire wall. My issue is they dont work . I have rechecked all of the terminations and pined out the relay with a multimeter that was added and the only thing that I found was one wire was not changing a state (hot, ground, signal). This wire plugged directly into the black module in the driver side kick pannel. Where I think the problem is the instructions state for cars with xenon lights (like mine) plug yellow/blue wire into the connector pin 4, cars with halogen lights use a t-tap to connect to the wire already in pin 4.

Has Mini boned me on yet another factory upgrade by needing this module programed? I would assume if I had halogens that wire would produce a signal since a wire would be there as it is now that pin 4 does not produce any kind of signal with lights on or off.

If you have the bi xenon head lights than more than likely yes. I did the install and plugged the the wire into the port the instructions stated but it would not turn on. Turned out the high beams portion of the control module in my car had not been programmed to work since it is not required. I ended up tapping the wire into X14260 pin 6. That pin is the standard pin for the Bi zenon headlights. Added bonus you can use the driving lights with low and high beams.

If you have the halogens just install as the instructions state and they should work fine.

There labeled, the first and last pin are always labeled in automotive electrical connectors.

No vibrations at all. I have the bi-xenons and no reprograming was required. Here are a couple pics..

If you have a 2010 model and zenons, you need to use pin 41 for this connection. I confirmed this with MINI and it works.

How much light do they provide? Any pics at night/dusk? Also, where did you put the switch?

Sorry for all the questions, but after seeing the pics you I think I might have to attempt this one.
