LED "Audi Style" light questions

I was thinking of buying a strip of LED "Audi style" lights off of oznium, and sticking them into the scoop on my R53. I was wondering if there was anywhere i can tap into in my engine compartment to draw power that would run when the ignition is on. Didnt really wanna fish wires through the firewall to put them in.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but didn't feel like wiring that.
If you can connect the wiring somewhere into the engine compartment then I'm going to do this asap.

Just go to Autozone or Pep Boys they have a 3 led set that you can hide in the scoop without taking away all your cooling air, run the wires down under the Heat pading on the botom of the hood next to your squirter hoses, then either go through the firewall and tap them into an interior source or along the frame rail to a park light in the front bumper. Either way is going to require some small wire and a soldering iron but it is simple.

I got 2 96 cm sets for $11 each (of course they are now $9 each ) from Dinodirect.com and when i recieved them one set had 3 dim lights and the other had 3 dead lights. I emailed their support team with pictures and they sent me a new set of 2 for no cost and i get to keep the old set. Shipping takes about a week because its coming from China but its worth the savings.

Heres the link: http://www.dinodirect.com/96cm-Flexi...l#BulkOrderDiv

hey Ryan,
it also dependds which type of LED you want. I see that MyMiniGidget has the 'flexible leds' which are nice and bright, but larger. i have the thinner 'flexible side emitting led' ones that are similar from Oznium.com. it depends how you want to install them. pics of my LEDs are in my gallery for you to see.

if you want the 'flexible leds', the china supplier has them for 96cm - $8.99/pc
if you want the 'flexible side emitting leds', china supplier has the for 100cm - $9.99/pc

if you want the manufacturer, let me know.

my source is : http://stores.ebay.com/led-world2007

and if you talk to them on the length you want...they can do anything for you, not just what is listed. i asked and i didn't need anything wasted as i only wanted 30cm pieces...so they cut and prepared all for me. if you contact them, talk to Pearl....she helped me out a lot and made things work smoothly for me.
